"Welcome to the burden of being chosen."
That line came to me at 3 AM. I'd been thinking about what success really means. Everyone wants to make it. But what do you give up? What do you become?
"BOX" explores the double meaning of being "Sold Out" - the glory of the packed stadium versus the emptiness of a sold-out soul.
The visual was shot in Memphis, using locations that mean something to me. The church I grew up in. The streets I walked as a kid. The studio where I've spent countless nights.
Every frame is intentional. The boxing imagery, the mirrors, the empty arenas - it's all asking the same question: Who are you when nobody's watching?
Working with director Marcus "Vision" Thompson was incredible. He understood the vision immediately. We wanted something that felt like Memphis - gritty, real, beautiful in its rawness.
This is the most personal thing I've ever released. It's scary putting this much of yourself out there. But that's what art is supposed to do, right? Make you feel something.
Thank you to everyone who's watched, shared, and connected with this one. We're just getting started.
